The composition of the “waste oil” can be quite complex. The water content of the waste oil typically hovers is high. However, it sometimes can range as great as between 50% to 80%. The asphaltene content of the waste oil is also high; as the asphaltene is usually found in a stable emulsified state, it is quite difficult to separate it from water. Due to its complex content and unstable performance, the waste oil will reduce the efficiency and damage to the equipment, cause pollution.

Our technology of DCU which uses the hot air from empty coke tower blow it and venting air into the system to refine the waste oil. Unaffected by the water content of waste oil, not only does the system refine the waste oil, it also increases the cooling capacity of the coker system.
Distillation of heavy oil is recycled from the bottom of venting drum; light oil is recycled from the top of coker using gas/liquid separation method.Since the operation of the air-blowing unit within the DCU is intermittent and independent, it does not affect the normal operation of a decoking process.
The device efficiently uses of recycled heat from the system; therefore it increases the capacity of venting unit and reduces the power required to operate the system.
The device uses the PLC control system (depending on the specifications, the DCS control system can also be integrated). The device is fully automated and it requires small equipment and operation area.
The main body of the device uses overall skid structure. It allows for easy and fast installation.
The device has no effect on the normal operation of the decoking system.
Combined with the internal structure of empty coke tower, the pollutant and the odor from the cooled decoking water can be comprehensively managed. The VOC emission is reduced and the overall level of pollution to the environment will be improved.
